Privacy.
How we collect, use, share and protect personal information.
unpitch is operated by Lemonlolly ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you submit a brief, we collect your name, business email, phone number (if you give it), your preferred contact method, and information about your business and what you're looking for.
When you use the site, we collect basic usage information: pages visited, the website or campaign that referred you, and events such as starting or completing the questionnaire. We use first-party cookies for this and to keep you signed in.
For agency profiles, we collect business information that is publicly available or that the agency gives us. We avoid collecting personal contact details we don't need.
Why we collect it
- To understand your brief and find suitable agencies.
- To contact you about your brief, shortlist and introductions.
- To introduce you to agencies you approve.
- To improve the service and understand which pages and channels help people.
- To send occasional guides and updates, only if you opt in.
Who we share it with
When we check an agency's interest, we share a summary of your project that doesn't include your name, business name, email or phone number.
We share your brief and contact details with an agency only after you approve that specific agency. We record each approval.
We use service providers to run the site, such as hosting and email delivery. They handle information on our behalf.
We don't sell your personal information or your enquiry.
Affiliated agencies
Some agencies may have a business relationship with unpitch. An affiliated agency is labelled when we show it to you, and it only receives your details if you approve it.
Storage and security
We store information with reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Some providers may store data outside Australia.
Access, correction and deletion
You can see and update your brief in your account. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by replying to any unpitch email.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll respond. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page.
